Here is Ethan working hard to help with the dog house. This project took quite awhile and still is not done but now our dog will not be able to use it at our place. We have to get rid of our dog and for personal reasons it is a bit sad. Mostly sad....because my older boys are a bit attached. The dog slept in Zach's room last night. I know he wants to keep her and they don't know yet that we can't keep her.
Here is the house closer to getting done. We used shingles from the basement that were left there from the builder. We put plastic on top first to keep out the rain and put it on all sides as well before nailing the boards on. We insulated the top of the inside. And we put some outdoor carpeting in too.
Before the shingles. I am not doing good putting these pictures in any order.
LOOK even Mayah is helping. She is drawing pictures on it for the dog. :)
Don and Rachel drilling the latches on.
Caleb and Don putting a vent on it. Oh what a spoiled dog. LOL.
Caleb and Don finding the right bit for drilling.
Here you can see the boards that we nailed on. It is almost complete except the boards that need to be put on the front.
Getting closer but still not finished.
A side view with the vent and boards.

And here is Nana. Someone is coming tomorrow to see if they are a good match with her. I hope and pray they are. I hope it will be a loving home that can spend alot of time with her and love her and treat her as part of their family. They are interested in buying the dog house too. That would be cool to have it go with her. We wanted to paint it and put her name on it but that didn't get done. Caleb and Zach went with Don to pick her out when she was only 2 months old. They will have to adjust to her being gone but I know it is for the best that she has a new home.

neat doghouse! I hope everything went well and that it was a good match! sorry that you have to give the dog away. That happened to us kids when we were younger and it's always hard to give an animal away when you're so attached!
